Colombia community is very tied w/ each other - looking out for people. There is a cheaper alternative out there, we just need to make people aware of it. 24/7 availability. 70% of receiving remitters are women. Why are we making them pay more expensive fees than they need to? (caveat: Western Union is still cheaper, but more inconvenient b/c it’s in-person and only within some hours. You could send remittances faster, but you have to pay way more. Finding the sweet spot between fees, speed, and convenience). Costs can’t be zero because they still need to earn $ for operational costs. W/ more volume, you have more leverage to broker more deals and liquidity, driving down transaction fees further.
